If you are interested in restorative justice issues and looking for a responsible work opportunity at the very heart of the European Forum for Restorative Justice then this position may be well suited to you. The Executive Officer is heading the secretariat which is based in Leuven (Belgium).
Applicants should possess as many of the following skills as possible:
- Management and/or research background
- Outstanding management and organisational skills
- Good communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to chair and facilitate meetings
- Excellent command of English and preferably also Dutch
- Good IT knowledge and capacities
- Service orientation
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to lead and work in a team
- Knowledge of EU funding schemes
- Experience in managing European projects
- Interest in/knowledge of restorative justice in a European context
- Interest in research
Regular tasks at the secretariat include:
- Organisation and management of the European Forum's secretariat
- Daily service delivery to members and interested persons
- Support and coaching of ongoing (research) projects
- Support of the work of the board and the chair
- Personnel management
- Financial bookkeeping
- Membership administration
- Support of fundraising activities
- Website updating
- Contributing to and editing newsletters and other publications
