North America and the Caribbean

Restorative justice in North America and the Caribbean has diverse roots, including indigenous practices of First Nations people, a discontent with mass incarceration, and a desire to better meet the needs of victims. It is currently being applied in various arenas from prison to schools to child welfare services.
