Ruth Morris presents a plan for changing the Ontario justice system into a restorative process through the creation of Transformative Justice Courts in Ontario. The problems with the current system are that it is expensive, unjust, immoral, and is a failure. Transformative justice is distinct from restorative justice by focusing on the causes of the crime in addition to the injuries needing reparation. A description of transformative justice courts is presented.
