Linda Katchen and Jeff Ginsberg are educators in a middle school in Denver, Colorado. They worked with the Colorado School Mediation Project to institute a restorative justice program for dealing with discipline matters in the school. Although they have used traditional discipline in the school, they believe that restorative justice works better both for the perpetrator and the victim. Hence, Katchen and Ginsberg sketch a particular case of school bullying and the school's restorative response to illustrate principles, processes, and results of restorative justice in a school setting.
