An anthology includes 4 articles on crime victims. Part I describes the scope of the problem, principles and practical solutions. Part 2, by Olof Dahlbeck, reports victims' opinions of their experiences, based on a questionnaire survey. In Part 3, Malin Kerstrom describes activities at 2 women's hospices and at a refuge for crime victims. Josef Zila reviews the international literature on victim-offender mediation. The National Council for Crime Prevention finds strong reasons for increasing society's support of and assistance to victims. In particular, police should be able to devote more time and interest to victims, and victims should receive much more information. (In Swedish, with English summary.)
