Christian reports on her work in designing, conducting, and analyzing a community survey in a three-county area of Colorado. The survey addressed residents’ attitudes toward the current criminal justice system and possible restorative alternatives. In Christian’s perspective, the use of the survey fit well with the “bottom upâ€? or grassroots orientation of restorative justice philosophy. Summarizing the survey’s findings, she notes its resultant value for public communications, grant funding, and program development.
