Jordan O'Neill is a school counselor at Crested Butte Community School, a school encompassing elementary through high school grades. According to O'Neill, the school has been using restorative justice in a variety of ways. For example, conferencing is used for student disciplinary matters. Also, circles are held in classrooms to deal with situations that have created tension. O'Neill has even applied restorative justice principles and processes with teachers and students to solve problems relating to learning needs. In short, O'Neill sketches a number of benefits of restorative justice when used in a school setting.
