"The ideas of community and civil society have been reintroduced into sociological and political discourses only recently by adopting perspectives from the Anglo-Saxon context, very often under different labels and with special meanings that only partly reflect the discussions in the UK and the USA. So today we find in Germany political and sociological discourses that mean similar things and institutional forms that seem to be similar to policies in the UK and the USA, but without using overtly the notion of community or civil society."
