Lampen observes that most people agree on two realities: (1) the majority of those who are convicted have little hope or faith in themselves; and (2) far too many prisoners re-offend after release, suggesting that prison systems do not foster personal change and do not offer long-term protection from crime for communities and people on the outside of prison. On these bases, Lampen commends Robin Casparian’s Houses of Healing. This is a workbook for prisoners to assist them with deep, personal change to achieve their true, good, loving Self.
