This paper sets out a description of the roles of all entitled participants in the youth justice family group conference process in New Zealand and then describes the convening and facilitation of a conference and post-conference procedures. It focuses on the coordinator's role, describes tasks carried out by other youth justice staff, and concludes with two case studies.
