This study of "forgiveness" in secular mediation assesses the practices of volunteer victim offender mediators' intentional and unintentional use of forgiveness concepts in mediation and attempts to develop a better understanding of possible linkages such practices might create between the secular and non-secular worlds of mediation. A four-fold typology of various models of mediation is constructed, with organizational exemplars, that describes traditional and non-traditional, secular and non-secular mediation practices.
