New York, NY: Walter de Gruyter, pp. 129-143.This paper reports on an investigation into an informal justice program of the Bielefield youth authority. The investigation deals with the scope and possibilities of a specific youth aid orientation of actions within the framework of informal procedures, especially the institutionalized strategies of settlement in administrative social work and its control-paradigmatic conventions. Discussed are the uncertainties in the informal procedure and influences of the criminal justice system, practice and analysis of processes, the analysis of informalization of social control as an interactive process, quantitative analyses of informalized processes of interventions, and qualitative analyses of delinquent-victim-reconciliation procedures.
