The Partnership for Global Good Practice (PGGP), located in London (UK), is a consulting group that assists nonprofits, charities, and other development agencies through the identification and application of innovative best-practices in human rights, justice, juvenile justice, development, governance and institutional development, and capacity building and training. In keeping with its mission, PGGP prepared this presentation on international standards for the administration of juvenile justice and examples of good practice. After a definition of juvenile justice, the presentation covers many key matters in juvenile justice: the international framework for juvenile justice, including Article 40 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, dealing specifically with the administration of juvenile justice; problems at the national level in administering juvenile justice; and recommendations to improve juvenile justice.
