This will not be a theoretical talk about “what works” in youth justice. It will be a talk about three particular “interventions” that operate in the Children’s Court of Victoria. Two of them – ROPES and The Children’s Koori Court are unique to Victoria. Both are currently being evaluated.I The third program, Group Conferencing, will be well known to some of you. It has been evaluated and I will report on aspects of that. I will identify why I believe these three programs are of benefit to participants and also provide broader community benefits. (excerpt)
