"I would like to suggest that redress for historical injustices embodies in a particular way the democratization of international law and its impact on domestic politics. Redress remains central, and may have even grown in importance in explaining the triangulation in international politics of justice, morality, and human rights, and the reciprocal tension. The following comments are directed at placing reparation and redress in the context of human rights and engage several of the issues raised by other essays in the book." (excerpt)
