This research reports on a victim-offender mediation program in Winnipeg, CAN, which handles 3 types of cases: diversion, community disputes and post-plea referrals. The majority of cases referred (65%) were diversionary. Most cases involved a criminal code offense (91%). Offenses against persons accounted for 58%. Once mediated, 90% of cases resulted in an agreement, and in 79% of cases, the terms of the agreement were complied with. Interviews with complainants and respondents (N=112) indicated a high level of satisfaction with the process and with the service provided.
