As practitioners we rightly pay regard to best practice. However we can equally learn from our experience of RJ ‘nightmares’. We have all had moments when things have not gone to plan and sometimes seem to take a pathway escalating towards potential disaster! As reflective practitioners we need to feel comfortable in taking the learning out of such situations, be honest enough to admit our errors and mistakes and resolve not to do the same again. Equally we may have been in situations which may have been beyond our control and events occur which we could not have possibly anticipated. Such is the unpredictable joy of restorative practice! This workshop will begin with some anecdotal sharing of RJ nightmares to set the scene but will encourage participants to share their own experience and learning from it. (author's abstract)
