A victim of hate calls, Susan Rice describes in this paper her personal journey through victimization. In the context of her being victimized, she also recounts her journey toward a renewed commitment to and acceptance of the concept of restorative justice. Hence, this story emphasizes her subjective experience. As she comments, she believes that it is necessary to explore intimately the mind of the victim of crime if restorative justice is going to be embedded in the fabric of society.
