This paper takes the educational setting as an example, drawing on this writer’s professional and academic work in this field, but at the end it raises wider questions about what it means to be restorative at a personal, a workplace, an organisational, a district and even a society level. It argues that by using the principles and practices implicit in the restorative justice philosophy we have a set of tools for ensuring greater social justice in every aspect of our lives. (excerpt)
