This paper attempts to do four things: 1) Describe the New Zealand Corrections environment, and the downstream consequences of current sentencing policy; 2) Describe the impact of faith on re-offending, rehabilitation and reintegration of criminal offenders; 3) Discuss the role of biblically based restorative justice in healing victims, restoring relationships and transforming communities; and 4) Examine the role of faith-based organisations in community transformation.
