But there are those who have been using a more supportive approach - and in the end, it seems, a more effective one in trying to ensure the 55-year-old doesn't commit any more offences. Circles of Support and Accountability bring together volunteers in an alternative network for sex offenders, who typically have little in the way of family or social support and are often intellectually deficient.
