In response to two crimes against Aboriginal people, an inquiry was commissioned to investigate both the crimes and the broader and deeper issues relating to perspectives and implementation of justice in Aboriginal culture and Euro-Canadian culture. The report covers traditional Aboriginal views and practices of justice in response to wrongdoing. Specific topics include conceptions of law, the meaning of justice, sentencing alternatives, and other alternative systems for the administration of criminal justice in Aboriginal cultures.
