Pretoria, South Africa. 15 September.As a result [of the remnants of colonial justice systems], our methods of traditional justice practices are faced with a dramatic lack of human resources and administrative capacity. Throughout the world traditional forms of justice incorporate several values of restorative justice. We believe that crime or conflict disturbs the entire community’s peace and harmony at all levels. In order to make things right again the community, the victim and the perpetrator should be involved in the restoration process.
