Citing insightful remarks on community and the interconnectedness of humankind from several sources, David Faulkner comments that these ideas are beginning to inform England’s political, economic, and social life. Moreover, such ideas and insights fit intimately with the relational thinking which the Relationship Foundation seeks to apply to criminal justice. In this context, Faulkner considers in concrete terms how relational thinking might be applied in reducing and respond to crime, and to the experience of imprisonment in particular.
