The law also now allows mediation to be used and to affect the justice system outcomes for both adult and juvenile cases. People interested in mediating can pursue training with certification programs offered by Polish Mediation Centre (Polskie Centrum Mediacji) and the Lower-Silesian Mediation Centre. A second route is to take training course specialisations available through several universities in Poland. Dr. Elzbieta Czwartosz, an educational psychologist and assistant professor of psychology at the University of Warsaw, has worked to develop academic courses in mediation. Czwartosz explains the mediator qualification standards and outlines the components of training options available in Poland.
