In this article, Gregorie identifies key reforms of the last two decades in the recognition of victims’ rights and services at the sentencing and post-sentencing phases. These include victim impact statements, restitution, and corrections-based victim services. At the same time, she points to improvements that can be made in the application or enforcement of these practices. Additionally, Gregorie discusses the relevance of restorative justice for victims, with particular attention to victim/offender programs.
