Senior outlines the history and development of the Aboriginal Family Supervision Program. This is a mentor program designed to to “deal with Aboriginal young people who have offended within their family group”. The mentor befriends the young offender, helps him/her find more productive activities, and move through the legal processes. Senior also outlines the bureaucratic stumbling blocks that the program has faced as well as the victories.
