Calgary Community Conferencing (CCC) is a collaboration among six organizations representing the legal and education systems and community-based nonprofit agencies. CCC provides conferencing services to youth in trouble or at risk. Referrals come from schools and the courts. This paper reports on CCC’s activities and results over a period of more than two years. It includes the following information: an overview of CCC, including program goals and processes; number and types of incidents addressed in conferences; referral sources for conferences; conference participants; conference restoration agreements; system-imposed consequences for young people; re-offenses among young people who participated in a conference; referrals not that did not proceed to a conference; and characteristics of young people who participated in a conference.
