Warneck investigates ways in which a mainstream church (i.e., a church belonging not to one of the historic peace traditions but to one of the dominant traditions in the history of the Church) might be transformed into a peace church. As a part of this investigation, he discusses the purpose and work of Church and Peace, an international forum and network in Europe. It connects organizations, congregations, groups, and individuals between the historic peace churches and peace-oriented movements in mainstream churches. Warneck identifies significant developments and insights gained through the experience of Church and Peace over more than fifty years.
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
