Source: (1999) Paper presented at the Best Practice Interventions in Corrections for Indigenous People Conference convened by the Australian Institute of Criminology in conjunction with Department for Correctional Services SA and held in Adelaide, 13-15 October.

The authors use the “Ending Offending-Our Messageâ€? project as a case study to represent the best practice in offender services. This project works with offenders who are incarcerated for alcohol and drug related offenses. The educational aspect of the program fulfills the requirements of preparing offenders for better opportunities to work by using different programs. In the regards to community reparations and involvements, the offenders use their artwork and advancements in other areas to spread the message about not offending. This aspect allows them to give back to the community.
