This essay offers the proposed strategy of restorative justice would balance the interests of victims, offenders, the government, and the local community. The foundation principles of restorative justice are 1) that the criminal justice process must repair injuries, 2) that victims, offenders, and communities must be involved throughout the criminal justice process, and 3) that the government will preserve order, and the community will maintain peace. The advantages and implications of a restorative justice system are discussed.
