This study of “forgiveness” in secular mediation assesses the practices of volunteer victim offender mediators’ intentional and unintentional use of forgiveness concepts in mediation and attempts to develop a better understanding of possible linkages such practices might create between the secular and non-secular worlds of mediation. A four-fold typology of various models of mediation is constructed, with organizational exemplars, that describes traditional and non-traditional, secular and non-secular mediation practices. Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
