In this article Hook and Seymour address issues concerning the rights and safety of victims when offenders leave prison and reenter society. They contend for pre-release and post-release strategies for offenders that promote the rights and safety of victims as well as improve the success of offendersxe2x80x99 reentry into society. With this in mind, they discuss community participation in reentry partnerships, victimsxe2x80x99 rights and perspectives, and specific practices such as notification of victims and communities, development of safety plans, and restitution enforcement.
