Following the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 against people and property in the United States, Umbreit reflects on the nature of those acts and our response to them. In particular, he attempts to bring his own commitments to restorative justice to bear upon the circumstances. Hence, he offers several practical suggestions for responding to the perpetrators of those attacks and for protecting against future terrorist acts.
