This document, prepared by a professor of law, consists of a proposal for a program on “transitional justice.â€? The first part of the document deals with the substantive and historical background of transitional justice, defined as the study of transitions from authoritarian rule to democratic consolidation (this topic is related to but distinct from human rights law and international law). The second part outlines courses and their content in this program. A bibliography at the end of the document provides an orientation to the subject matter.
