In this article the author describes a field study to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a Youth Justice Committee in Lethbridge (Alberta, Canada). A Youth Justice Committee is a “community disposition panelâ€? – an alternative means for dealing with young offenders, both Native and white, to educate and reconcile offenders within a community context.
