For over twenty years, John Paul Lederach has worked as a mediator and conciliation practitioner in conflicts in more than thirty countries. He is currently a professor of peacebuilding studies in the United States. Based on his experience with conflict transformation, he offers several lessons for responding constructively to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, against targets in the United States. In sum, he urges a set of actions based on life-giving ethics founded on genuine dialogue and strategic partnerships that seek to absorb and prevent violence.
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
