This report synthesizes the principle views of the four major international associations in the field of criminal justice: (1) International Assiciation of Penal Law; (2) Intenational Society For Criminology; (3) International Society of Social Defence and Humane Criminal Policy; and (4) International Penal and Penitentiary Foundation.. It is based on the reports of the four organizations, and the views of their delegates, which were presented at the Colloquim held in Courmayeur Mont Blanc, Italy, 24-26 1999. The Colloquium consentrated on Restorative Justice.
