The involvement of youth in crime in Canada- as offenders and victims- is significant. Therefore, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have identified youth as one of their priorities, with an emphasis on prevention of crime and victimization. The RCMP strategy focuses efforts on early prevention, enforcement, and restorative justice. Indeed, the RCMP believe that a restorative justice approach to youth crime and victimization – to reduce and repair the harm – is one of the keys to their youth strategy.
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
