A police officer relates his positive experience and his concerns with restorative justice conferencing after his home was burgled. The process allowed him to convey a message of responsibility to the offender, and while he believes the apology, the proof of restorative justice’s worth will rest in the offender’s avoidance of repeated offending in the future.
