This article gives an overview of a large part of current day TRC literature. Hundreds of publications have been written about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and it is therefore useful to classify this literature. In this text a couple of subdivisions within the TRC literature are distinguished, based on whether authors were positive, negative or neutral about the TRC. The publications are then further classified thematically and representative examples are pointed out for each theme. Finally, reference is made to some lacunae and overlaps which are evident from looking at this TRC literature. As a result, this article can be seen as an examination of the debate on the TRC.
