Introducing restorative practices in schools is not straightforward. It requires considerable
forethought and prior planning, negotiation and deliberation. Restorative justice requires that
schools do not own or completely control the process, but have to learn to be responsive to families
and local voluntary community groups who are, potentially, important sources of additional support
for schools in addressing student behaviour that is seen as problematic. (excerpt)
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
