Workplaces experience all
the highs and lows of any
system of relationships.
When problems emerge, our
first response as staff is often
to lodge a grievance. As
managers we feel we need to
know who has done what to
whom and what we need to
do to get things back on track.
The Acas (Advisory,
Conciliation and Arbitration
Service) Code of Practice on
disciplinary and grievance
procedures sets out
principles for handling
grievances but, grievance
systems are designed to deal
with disputes, not conflicts,
and can escalate the
differences rather than
resolve them. (excerpt)
Your donation helps Prison Fellowship International repair the harm caused by crime by emphasizing accountability, forgiveness, and making amends for prisoners and those affected by their actions. When victims, offenders, and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results are transformational.
