My aim in this type of work has always been to address the
issue of reconciliation and, using the experience, the insights, and the
convolutions that go with a place and time, think in a more nuanced
fashion of what reconciliation is and what it can be in a troubled land.
The theoretical and legal discussion about reconciliation, however,
cannot but become context-dependent; more so, in this article it is
exemplified by a specific organization in Israel-Palestine-Zochrotthat
engages in an essential (re)conciliation, very different from the
conventional reconciliation template that might only be effected after
peace has been made. (excerpt)
