The F word, and what it really means

….Up until just about a year ago, I didn’t know what forgiveness even
was. I mean, I could forgive someone for forgetting to pay me back a
dollar I loaned them for the snack machine. But the big issues in my
life, forgiveness was not part of the picture. Now that I’ve found it,
I look to the Forgiveness Project to see if it can really be taught,
and how it’s connected to forgetting. Like Denise Green, forgiveness
found me. She wrote that “suddenly this overwhelming sense of peace
flooded over me. My body and my mind were totally calm…” and for me
it was exactly the same thing, and it was almost a little scary.

How a person thinks about what happened is key. Like Denise Green said,
some things are out of our control, but our responses are very much
within our grasp.
