“A Role for ADR in the Criminal Justice System?”

Newell, Laurence M.
June 4, 2015

Source: (1999) A paper prepared for the PNG (Papua New Guinea) National Legal Convention.

Newell gives a fairly thorough survey of the different kinds of RJ programs that fit under the heading of ADR (Alternative/Appropriate/Assisted Dispute Resolution) and their success rates. He provides specific references to agencies, programs, and advocates who utilize and/or promote ADR, as well as the arguments for and against incorporating ADR into the Criminal Justice System.
