People are going to hurt each other. It has happened since before we could speak and I highly doubt that it will change anytime soon. Healing has to happen for society to get well. Build a system based on restorative justice principles and we will see less people in poverty, better communities, less crime and fewer prisons. If we leave things as they are, we will continue to experience poverty, crime and increased numbers of prisons. It is our choice after all.(excerpt)
