Combining perspectives from academics and practitioners, Davey examines arguments both favoring and questioning whether police can offer truly restorative services. In particular he looks at issues related to police involvement in conferencing. Davey then proposes what he considers safeguards to ensure that conferencing with police involvement is truly restorative or that at least it is not presented as truly restorative if it falls short of restorative principles and practices.
