This chapter provides an analysis of some of the lessons learned from CRS’s peacebuilding efforts in different parts of the world. We structure the chapter around four cases that offer important insights about the relationships between Catholic social teaching and peacebuilding. These cases –Mindanao in the Philippines, Burundi, Colombia, and Chad/Cameroon — represent four well developed peacebuilding efforts, as well as a wide range of church actors and types of peacebuilding. Togehter they illustrate seven general insights that can be drawn from CRS’s experience with peacebuilding around the the world. (excerpt)
