This policy document of the National Operations Unit, National office of the New Zealand Children and Young Persons Service is reproduced in it’s entirety. The guidelines specify the policy to be followed by the Care and Protection Coordinator in conducting family group conferences (FGCs). The handbook discusses referrals, preparation, holding the conference, and post-conference procedures.
